At the occasion of the 17th National Disaster Prevention and Reduction Day, the China Fire Rescue Academy and the People's Government of Changping District, Beijing jointly held the 2025 Disaster Prevention and Reduction Propaganda Week Campus Open Day event. The event is themed "Everyone talks about safety, everyone can respond to emergency - check for disaster hazards around you". It sets up more than 40 popular science and experience projects in three categories: knowledge popularization, good film exhibitions and interactive experiences.
The knowledge popularization area has simulated practical scenarios and advanced technology displays, and many high-tech equipment has been unveiled. The interactive experience area is very popular, with 33 projects covering earthquakes, mountains, waters, fires and other rescue scenarios, as well as fun games and emergency food experiences. In addition, the event also broadcasts videos on disaster prevention and mitigation.
This event attracted more than 20,000 people to participate, deepened cooperation between hospitals and localities and hospitals and enterprises, and promoted the construction of a multi-level linkage disaster prevention and mitigation ecological chain. In the future, the college will promote technological empowerment and contribute to the development of emergency rescue.
