CCTV News: Recently, Ezhou Huahu International Airport's first export fresh aquatic product - Hubei Huanggang fresh eel successfully flew to Incheon, South Korea, which injected new vitality into promoting local economic development.
At the Guanma Ecological Breeding Base in Huanggang, Hubei Province, the reporter saw that workers were busy packing and loading fresh eels to Ezhou Huahu International Airport. After a series of procedures such as transfer, security checks, customs clearance, 3.4 tons of eels worth about 400,000 yuan set off to Incheon, South Korea.
Chencelou Town, Huanggang City, Hubei Province is a traditional aquatic town that once mainly breeds "four big fish". Now, relying on the humid climate and high-quality water sources, the local area has vigorously developed eel farming, providing more employment opportunities for local farmers.
It is understood that Huanggang City now has 14 eel farming enterprises, with a total area of the eel farming base reaching 4,116 mu, an annual output of 12,000 tons, and a comprehensive output value of about 2 billion yuan.
