CCTV News: At present, tropical fruits such as durian, mangosteen, and coconut from Southeast Asia have entered the peak sales season. In the past two days, in the largest fruit wholesale market in Nanning, Guangxi, there are crowds of people in various fruit stalls in the market, and citizens and vendors are coming to buy.

At Guangxi Haijixing Agricultural Products International Logistics Center, the reporter saw that each durian container was filled with vendors coming to purchase goods, and the transaction was very popular. Currently, durian sold on the market mainly comes from Thailand. Among them, Jinpin durian is the most popular among consumers because of its rich production and small core and sweet meat.

Wholesalers told reporters that in terms of price, the price of durian today has generally dropped by 20 to 30% compared with the early stages of its listing in early March. When summer comes, demand for durian increases and prices rise.

The large number of durians listed have also attracted many wholesalers from other provinces to come and purchase. Mr. Chen is from Maoming, Guangdong and has been engaged in durian trade for many years. He said that he has increased the purchase volume of durian recently. On the one hand, the cost of purchasing from Nanning has been reduced, and on the other hand, the quality of durian is also better.

In recent years, with the rapid development of China-ASEAN agricultural product trade and the continuous improvement of the cross-border logistics system, Southeast Asian fruits like durian can enter the Chinese market more conveniently and quickly. In addition to durian being popular among consumers, mangosteen produced in Thailand is also sold well.
