CCTV News: Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on May 10 showed that in April, my country's consumer price index (CPI) turned from a month-on-month decrease of 0.4% to a month-on-month increase of 0.1%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points higher than the seasonal level, mainly driven by the rebound in food and travel services.

From a year-on-year perspective, affected by the decline in international oil prices, CPI in April fell by 0.1% year-on-year, the same as last month. Among them, the price of gasoline fell by 10.4%, affecting the year-on-year decline of CPI by about 0.38 percentage points, which is the main factor driving the year-on-year decline in CPI. The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose 0.5%, and the increase remained stable.

In addition, affected by international imported factors and the seasonal decline in some domestic energy prices, in April, the industrial producer price index (PPI) fell by 0.4% month-on-month, the same as last month; it fell by 2.7% year-on-year, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
