The preliminary summary data of the medical insurance fund in 2024 shows that the total revenue of the national basic medical insurance fund is 3.48 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.4% year-on-year.
The total expenditure of the national basic medical insurance fund was 2.97 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year.
The current balance of the national medical insurance unified fund is 0.47 trillion yuan, and the cumulative balance of the unified fund is 3.87 trillion yuan.
At the same time, the fund's mutual assistance efficiency has been further enhanced, and new progress has been made in outpatient and fertility medical insurance. The number of people who settled basic medical insurance clinics nationwide reached 6.7 billion, an increase of 19% year-on-year. Maternity insurance fund benefits expenditure was 143.2 billion yuan, an increase of 33.9% year-on-year.
