On May 6, Beijing time, the fourth phase of the Snooker World Championship final ended. Chinese player Zhao Xintong defeated Mark 18-12 in total score. Williams won the championship, becoming China's first and Asia's first Snooker World Championship champion, creating the history of snooker sports.

Zhao Xintong led Williams with a score of 17-8 and ended the third stage at the match point. At the beginning of the fourth stage, Williams recovered his form and scored 101 points, 96 points and 73 points in a single shot, winning four consecutive games to catch the score to 12-17. After the game break, Zhao Xintong scored 87 points in a single shot and finally won the game with a score of 18-12, creating history.

In the entire final, Zhao Xintong scored two shots to break 100 (100, 104) and 11 shots of 50+ (77, 57, 83, 71, 56, 96, 71, 58, 52, 67, 87).

In the third stage of the final, Zhao Xintong won 6 more games, leading Williams 17-8 in the total score.

The Snooker World Championship semi-finals adopted a 17-win system. Zhao Xintong defeated O'Sullivan 17-7, advancing to the World Championship final for the first time in his career. He is also the second Chinese player to reach the World Championship final after Ding Junhui.

On April 30, in the quarter-finals, Chinese player Zhao Xintong defeated British player Weckling 13-5 and advanced to the semi-finals of the World Championships.

On April 27, in the "China derby" with Repefan, Zhao Xintong won 13-10 and successfully entered the quarterfinals.
