The national railway is expected to send 21.1 million passengers on May 5, and 1,896 trains are planned to be added. Among them, the Beijing Railway Bureau of China Railway is expected to send 1.57 million passengers and plans to add 170 passenger trains. The Guangzhou Bureau of the National Railways Corporation is expected to send 3.093 million passengers, an increase of 18.9% year-on-year. The Nanchang Bureau of the National Railway is expected to send 1.56 million passengers and plans to add 272 passenger trains, including 82 high-speed rail at night to fully ensure passenger travel needs. In addition, railway departments in key areas with large passenger flows such as the Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu-Chongqing and other key areas have added temporary trains and night high-speed trains, and have also added temporary trains in some popular tourist cities to meet the needs of returning travel.
