In order to effectively protect the wage remuneration rights of workers, since this year, human resources and social security departments at all levels have strengthened regular supervision and law enforcement and increased efforts to manage wage arrears. According to data from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, in the first quarter, a total of 151,000 wage violations were completed nationwide, and 8.07 billion yuan of wages were solved for 662,000 workers.
In the first quarter, human resources and social security departments at all levels announced 506 major illegal acts of wage arrears, included 482 wage arrears in the list of dishonest debts, and transferred 689 cases of suspected refusal to pay labor remuneration to the public security organs, which was a strong deterrent to malicious wage arrears.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security stated that the next step will be to implement a special action to safeguard the rights and interests of workers in new employment forms, and at the same time, we will work with relevant departments to carry out a special action to clean up and rectify the order of the human resources market in 2025, standardize labor dispatch, occupational intermediaries and other human resources market activities in accordance with the law, and continue to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
