On the eve of the May Day of International Labor Day this year, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the National Commendation Conference for Workers and Advanced Workers was held in Beijing. 2,426 people were commended, fully reflecting the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core's high attention to the work of the working class and trade union, and its cordial care for national models of laborers and advanced workers.

Glory belongs to the workers, and happiness belongs to the workers. This is the 17th time that my country has selected and commended national workers. The commended people include traditional agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, manufacturing and other industries, as well as inheritors of excellent traditional Chinese culture such as arts and crafts artists, Qiang embroidery skills instructors, as well as new professional workers such as takeaway riders, express shuttlers, and housekeeping service trainers. In everyone, we can see the glory, happiness and power brought by labor.

Model workers and advanced workers are role models of the people and pillars of the country. For a long time, generations of model workers and advanced workers have played a demonstration and leading role in promoting career development and promoting the progress of the times. Looking back at the long scroll of history, every great cause of China's revolution, construction and reform is engraved with the solid footprints, immortal achievements and supreme glory of the vast number of workers; every brick and every tiles of the Republic Building embodies the hard work, sweat and wisdom of the vast number of workers. "Iron Man" Wang Jinxi, "Two Bombs Master" Deng Jiaxian, "Would rather be dirty one person, and get clean for ten thousand people", "Blue-collar expert" Kong Xiangrui, "Maban E-mail Road" Wang Shunyou... Each shining name represents the patriotic dedication and hard work of workers in different eras.

The people create history, and labor creates the future. Labor is the essential activity of mankind and the fundamental force that promotes the progress of human society. Marx pointed out: "If any nation stops working, it will perish without saying a year or a few weeks." The glory of labor and the creation of greatness are the basic views of the Marxist view of labor and an important interpretation of the laws of human civilization progress. "People's livelihood is hard work, and diligence will not be scarce." The Chinese nation is a nation that is diligent in working and good at creation. It is precisely because of labor creation that we have the glory of history; it is also because of labor creation that we have the achievements we have today.

The building of socialism with Chinese characteristics is built by bricks and tiles, and the happiness of the people is created bit by bit. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has deeply praised labor creation, encouraged the vast number of workers, pointed out that "a better life is created by labor", emphasized that glory "is belonging to every struggler who is responsible", and proposed that "we must vigorously promote the social style of labor that is the most glorious, the most noble, the greatest, and the most beautiful"... Warm and powerful words have inspired countless workers, builders, and entrepreneurs to work hard and bravely move forward on the new era and new journey, gathered the tremendous strength of the vast number of working people to forge a new journey, and promoted Chinese-style modernization to take new solid steps.

Socialism is achieved through hard work, and the new era is achieved through hard work. At present, we are moving towards the second centenary goal of building a modern socialist country in all respects. This is an unprecedented great cause, and fundamentally it depends on labor and the creation of workers. Great cause calls us, and solemn mission inspires us. On the new journey, we need to look at the value of labor from a long-term perspective and attach importance to the role of labor. The more glorious the mission and arduous the task, the more we must give full play to the role of the working class and the broad masses of working people, and widely gather the wisdom and strength to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization, and strive to create new glory in the era and create new historical achievements.
