The national standard "Residential Project Specifications" will officially come into effect in May. The new standards to be implemented require that in addition to clarifying that the floor height of newly built residential buildings is "not less than 3.00 meters", each residential building also requires that each residential building have rooms that meet the Rizhao standards. In terms of residential sound insulation and noise indicators, the specifications have improved the sound insulation performance requirements of the walls and floors between bedrooms, living rooms and adjacent rooms in residential buildings. The "Residential Project Specifications" also upgrades the elevator settings to 4th floor or above to set up elevators.

Free processing. Marriage registration no longer requires a household registration book

The revised "Marriage Registration Regulations" will come into effect on May 10. The new "Regulations" stipulate that there is no need to show your household registration book when registering for marriage or divorce. The marriage registration authority shall not charge fees for marriage registration.

No refund for payments, restricted card transfer and other "unfair terms" are invalid

Starting from May 1, the Supreme People's Court's judicial interpretation on prepaid consumption will be officially implemented. Improve after-sales service requirements for different consumer goods segments

The new version of the national standard "After-sales service methods and requirements for consumer goods" will be implemented from May 1. In combination with the new situation, after-sales service types such as distribution, warranty extension, recycling have been supplemented, as well as after-sales service methods based on networking and digitalization, further strengthening the requirements for consumer data privacy protection.

The recommended national standard for "After-sales service, No-reason Return Service Standards" was officially implemented on May 1, and the return conditions, return procedures, service supervision and evaluation of unreasonable returns were standardized. Among them, off-site sales operators should provide consumers with seven-day unreasonable return services. On-site sales operators should provide consumers with unreasonable returns services according to the promised content or the agreement between the two parties.

The rights and interests of rural women are more protected

The "Rural Collective Economic Organization Law of the People's Republic of China" will be implemented from May 1. The law stipulates that the state protects the legitimate rights and interests of rural collective economic organizations and their members, and no organization or individual may infringe on them; the property collectively owned by members of rural collective economic organizations is protected by law, and no organization or individual may embezzle, misappropriate, intercept, loot, privately divide or destroy. In addition, it is also clearly stipulated that women enjoy equal rights with men and shall not infringe on the grounds that women are unmarried, married, divorced, widowed, and have no male households.
