CCTV News: According to the official account of "Xinjiang Railway Information", at 11:04 on January 5, as the G828 train slowly departed from Xi'an North Station, it marked the official launch of the direct high-speed train from Xi'an to Hong Kong. This is the first direct high-speed train from Xi'an, Shaanxi to Hong Kong, and it is also the first train entering Hong Kong in the northwest region.
Xi'an, Shaanxi is the starting point of the Silk Road, and Hong Kong is an important international financial, trade, shipping center and international innovation and technology center in the world. From the "Silk Road Starting Point" to the "Pearl of the East", the launch of the Shaanxi-Hong Kong High-speed Railway will further narrow the time and space distance between Shaanxi and Hong Kong, injecting new impetus into promoting exchanges and cooperation between the Northwest region and Hong Kong in many fields such as economy, culture, and tourism.
The G828/5 train, which started on January 5, departed at Xi'an North Station at 11:04, passing through Huashan North, Luoyang Longmen, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha South, Guangzhou South, Shenzhen North and other stations. It arrived at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 21:09 on the same day, with a total journey of 10 hours and 05 minutes.
On that day, the G826/7 from West Kowloon to Xi'an North departed at 9:07 and arrived at Xi'an North Station at 20:01, with a running time of 10 hours and 54 minutes.
The direct high-speed rail from Xi'an to Hong Kong will be connected to daily two-way connections starting from January 5. The trains will be reconnected with the CR400BF-Z "Fuxing" intelligent EMU, providing passengers with comfortable riding experience and sufficient transportation capacity guarantees.
