The reporter learned from the China Light Industry Federation that in the first 11 months of 2024, my country's light industry production grew steadily, and large-scale light industry enterprises achieved profits of over one trillion yuan.
Updated by a series of policies such as trading consumer goods for old products and promoting consumption, my country's light industrial production has grown steadily, the scale of domestic and foreign trade markets has steadily expanded, investment has recovered rapidly, and profits have continued to improve.
In the first 11 months of 2024, light industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 20.6 trillion yuan and profit of 1.32 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%. The profit growth rate was 13.8 percentage points higher than that of the national industry.
The added value of light industry above scale increased by 4.8% year-on-year. Among the 91 major light industrial products counted by the National Bureau of Statistics, 58 products achieved production growth. Among them, the added value of the household appliance industry increased by 9.7%, and the profit level continued to improve. Profits in industries such as papermaking, batteries, and bicycles have maintained double-digit growth.
The market size has steadily expanded, with the industry exporting US$837.34 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%.
