Updated by a series of policies such as trading consumer goods for old products and promoting consumption, my country's light industrial production has grown steadily, the scale of domestic and foreign trade markets has steadily expanded, investment has recovered rapidly, and profits have continued to improve.
In the first 11 months of 2024, light industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 20.6 trillion yuan and profit of 1.32 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, and the profit growth rate was 13.8 percentage points higher than that of national industries. The added value of light industries above the scale increased by 4.8% year-on-year. Among the 91 major light industrial products counted by the National Bureau of Statistics, 58 products achieved production growth. Among them, the added value of the household appliance industry increased by 9.7%, the profit level continued to improve, and the profits of industries such as papermaking, batteries, and bicycles maintained double-digit growth.
The market size has steadily expanded, with the industry exporting US$837.34 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%.
