CCTV News: In March, the manufacturing purchasing managers index (PMI) was 50.5%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, and the manufacturing industry's prosperity continued to rebound.

From the enterprise scale, the PMI of large enterprises was 51.2%, down 1.3 percentage points from the previous month, higher than the critical point; the PMI of medium and small enterprises was 49.9% and 49.6%, respectively, up 0.7 and 3.3 percentage points from the previous month, both lower than the critical point.
From the classification index, among the five classification indexes that constitute the manufacturing PMI, the production index, new order index and supplier distribution time index are higher than the critical point, while the raw material inventory index and practitioner index are lower than the critical point.
The production index was 52.6%, up 0.1 percentage point from the previous month, indicating that the production activities of manufacturing enterprises were accelerating.
The new order index was 51.8%, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the level of demand in the manufacturing industry continues to improve.
The raw material inventory index was 47.2%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, and still below the critical point, indicating that the decline in the inventory of major raw materials in the manufacturing industry narrowed.
The employee index was 48.2%, down 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the employment prosperity of manufacturing enterprises has declined.
Supplier delivery time index was 50.3%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, and still above the critical point, indicating that the delivery time of raw material suppliers in manufacturing continues to accelerate.
China's non-manufacturing purchasing managers' index operation
In March, the non-manufacturing business activity index was 50.8%, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, and the pace of non-manufacturing expansion accelerated.

By industry, the construction industry's business activity index was 53.4%, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; the service industry's business activity index was 50.3%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month. From the industry perspective, the business activity indexes in industries such as water transportation, air transportation, postal, telecommunications, radio and television, satellite transmission services, monetary and financial services are all located in a relatively high economic range of more than 55.0%; the business activity indexes in industries such as catering, ecological protection and public facilities management, culture, sports and entertainment are all lower than the critical point.


The new order index was 46.6%, up 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the economic prosperity of non-manufacturing market demand has rebounded. By industry, the new order index of the construction industry was 43.5%, down 3.3 percentage points from the previous month; the new order index of the service industry was 47.1%, up 1.2 percentage points from the previous month.
The input price index was 48.6%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, and still below the critical point, indicating that the overall decline in the price of inputs used by non-manufacturing enterprises for business activities has narrowed. By industry, the price index of inputs in the construction industry was 49.5%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; the price index of inputs in the service industry was 48.4%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
The sales price index was 46.7%, down 1.1 percentage point from the previous month, indicating that the overall level of sales prices in non-manufacturing industries continued to decline. By industry, the sales price index of the construction industry was 47.5%, down 1.6 percentage points from the previous month; the sales price index of the service industry was 46.6%, down 1.0 percentage points from the previous month.
The employee index was 45.8%, down 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the employment prosperity of non-manufacturing enterprises has declined. By industry, the construction industry practitioner index was 41.4%, down 4.2 percentage points from the previous month; the service industry practitioner index was 46.5%, down 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
The business activity expectations index was 57.2%, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that non-manufacturing companies have increased their confidence in recent market development. By industry, the expected index of business activity in the construction industry was 55.3%, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month; the expected index of business activity in the service industry was 57.5%, up 0.6 percentage points from the previous month.
The operation of China's comprehensive PMI output index
In March, the comprehensive PMI output index was 51.4%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the overall expansion of production and operation activities of my country's enterprises has accelerated.
