CCTV News: my country is the world's largest wind power equipment manufacturing base, with production accounting for more than two-thirds of the global market. At present, with the continuous improvement of technological innovation and industrial chain, wind power exports have ushered in a new window period, and there has been hot orders.

In a dock in Penglai Port, Shandong, large offshore wind power single piles weighing about 2,000 tons are being transported by staff to export ships. This batch of wind power single piles will arrive in Europe after 45 days of shipping to sea for the construction of offshore wind farms.

According to reports, in the first quarter of this year, the base's capacity utilization rate reached a historical high, and wind power products were shipped to different countries and regions almost every week. Staff said that the company's offshore wind power single pile order volume currently accounts for more than 30% of the European market.

According to incomplete statistics, as of the end of 2024, China's wind turbines have been exported to more than 50 countries and regions around the world. During the interview, the reporter learned that this year, many wind power companies have added emerging market countries and regions such as the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia to their export destinations.

Data shows that in 2024, China's wind turbines added 904 new exports, with a capacity of 5193.7 MW, a year-on-year increase of 41.7%, setting a new record high.
Customized production + overseas factory building my country's wind power exports are expected to grow further
Wind power "going overseas" orders are booming. Under this background, what new requirements will be put forward for the company's production capacity? How to deal with the next new export opportunities? Continue to watch the report.

In a wind power complete machine manufacturing workshop in Beijing, 16 automated production lines are running tightly and orderly. Staff told reporters that they had entered the peak production period in March this year, four months earlier than last year. The production line has also been upgraded and transformed to better meet the customized needs of export products.
Staff told reporters that in the company's rapidly growing export orders, the proportion of large megawatt fans has increased by more than 50%. This type of aircraft is larger in size and has brought new challenges to production and transportation. Therefore, building overseas factories has also become a new market strategy for many wind power companies.

The reporter saw in the workshop that employees from Indian factories were conducting training and learning on production equipment to prepare for the company's subsequent overseas rapid production. In addition, exported fans must meet the international standards of a 25-year service cycle. In order to ensure the subsequent operation and maintenance of export fans, enterprises have built supporting measures for the entire chain from initial design to test and testing.

According to the forecast of the Global Wind Energy Council, by 2025, the global installed capacity of offshore wind power will also hit a new high, reaching 25GW. In the next five years, the global new grid-connected wind power capacity will reach 680GW. Industry insiders said that overseas markets have become the main incremental market for Chinese wind power companies.
