At present, more than 80% of steel enterprises have built intelligent centralized control centers or carried out large-scale applications to promote the transformation and upgrading of my country's steel industry.

At the same time, the process parameters are analyzed through AI algorithms to realize intelligent planning of cooling paths and automatic allocation of flaw detection tasks.
Data from the China Iron and Steel Industry Association shows that as of the end of 2024, a total of 171 steel enterprises have completed or partially completed ultra-low emission transformation and evaluation and monitoring, accounting for more than 70% of crude steel production capacity, and the cumulative investment has exceeded 200 billion yuan. 1,867 energy-saving projects have been completed or improved, and the comparable energy consumption per ton of steel has decreased by 1.75% year-on-year.
While the digital and green transformation of steel enterprises, their products are also constantly moving towards the high-end. These products have the characteristics of high hardness, coating-free, high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, and will be used in aerospace, ships and energy equipment. In this steel company in Tianjin, this seamless steel pipe production line can control the impurity content in steel pipes to one million, and the products will be assembled on the submarine oil conveying pipeline with extremely strict performance requirements.
This year, my country will continue to carry out three-year action plan for the digital transformation project of the steel industry, introduce more preferential policies, support enterprises to introduce advanced equipment and technologies, and strengthen supervision of the green development of enterprises, and promote the comprehensive transformation and upgrading of the steel industry.
