CCTV News: According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, it is expected that from March 25 to 29, the cold wave weather will affect most areas in my country from west to east, except for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Among them: from the 25th to 26th, it will mainly affect the northwest region and western North China, and from the 27th to the 29th, it will affect most areas in the central and eastern regions. The cold wave has a wide impact and a severe cooling. Large-scale wind and sandstorm will occur in the north, and strong convective weather will occur in some areas south of the Huaihe River, but the intensity of rain and snow is significantly weaker than the cold wave process from March 1 to 3 this year.

1. The cold wave is coming, and the cooling rate in most parts of my country is severe.

It is expected that from March 25 to 29, except for the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the temperature in most parts of the country will drop by 8 to 12℃. The cooling rate in the eastern part of the northwest region, western North China, southern Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jiangnan and other places can reach 14 to 16℃, and the daily maximum temperature drop in some areas exceeds 20℃. After the cooling, the minimum temperature 0℃ line on the morning of the 30th will be located in the area between central North China and southern Shaanxi; the daily maximum temperature in North China is 10-15℃.

2. There will be large-scale strong winds and sandstorms in the northern regions

From the 25th to the 29th, strong winds will occur from west to east in most areas, and levels 4 to 6 will occur in most areas, with gusts of 7 to 9 in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Gansu and northern North China, and levels 10 to 11 in some areas.

Affected by it, the sandstorm weather on the 25th will mainly affect eastern and southern Xinjiang, central and western Inner Mongolia, western Gansu, northern Ningxia and other places, among which there will be sandstorms in eastern Xinjiang and central and western Inner Mongolia; from the 26th to the 27th, the increase in the range and intensity of the sandstorm will increase, which will mainly affect eastern and southern Xinjiang, northwest, Inner Mongolia, southern Northeast, North China, Huanghuai, northern Jianghan and other places, among which there will be sandstorms or strong sandstorms in central and western Inner Mongolia and some areas in southern Xinjiang.

3. There will be strong convective weather in some areas south of the Huaihe River

From the 26th to the 28th, there will be light to moderate rain or thunderstorms in areas south of the Huaihe River, and heavy rain in some areas; the above-mentioned local areas will be accompanied by strong convective weather such as short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds. In addition, from the 25th to the 29th, light rain (snow) or sleet will occur in some areas of northern Xinjiang, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, northern North China, Northeast China, and other places, and moderate to heavy snow will occur in Ili River Valley, western Gansu, and northeast Inner Mongolia.

4. Meteorological experts remind

The cold wave weather has dropped drastically, and the temperature fluctuates greatly before and after the process. There will be a large range of sandstorms in the north, which is prone to respiratory diseases. It is recommended to take good health protection for humans; and prevent the impact of low-virtual weather on transportation. Recently, there has been sparse precipitation in the central and eastern regions, coupled with strong winds, the meteorological level of urban and rural fire hazards is relatively high. As the Qingming Festival approaches, there are more memorial activities, so pay attention to the safety of fire use. In some areas south of the Huai River, there will be strong convective weather such as short-term heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds, and public should pay attention to prevention when traveling.
