Seaweed farming is a pillar industry in Da'ao Village, Dayu Town, Cangnan County. More than 1,500 acres of seaweed are raised in the village. Since the 168 Gold Coast Tourism Highway was opened, the local seaweed breeding industry has developed more and more vigorously. "Take the turquoise seaweed that was harvested before. It used to be sold at most one yuan per kilogram, but now it is sold at five or six yuan per kilogram." Lin Jiaai, secretary of the Party Branch of Da'ao Village, Dayu Town, told reporters that this road running through the entire village allows the equipment for breeding, harvesting and transportation of seaweed to directly reach the docks and ports, which not only improves production efficiency, saves labor costs, but also ensures the freshness of seaweed, making local seaweed more popular with merchants.

A few years ago, due to inconvenient transportation and the village was not popular, he once moved to Longgang City, Wenzhou to operate. "I heard from my neighbors that the village is now lively, so I moved back. I can earn two or three thousand yuan a day on average. I feel very satisfied," said Yu Yipan.
