Recently, the Party Group of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Communist Party of China held a study (expanded) meeting of the theoretical study center group to convey and study the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during the National Two Sessions and the deployment of the National Two Sessions. The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during the National People’s Congress and the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference made a profound explanation of several major issues in comprehensively deepening reform and promoting high-quality development. It is highly political, ideological, guiding and targeted, and points out the direction for us to do a good job in the current and future period and provides fundamental guidance. The meeting emphasized that we must combine the study and implementation of the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech with the implementation of the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, unite our hearts and minds, take responsibility, and implement the tasks deployed by the Central Economic Work Conference and the Government Work Report, and resolutely be the executor, activist, and practical practitioner in implementing the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee.

The meeting emphasized that we must further improve our political stance, base ourselves on the "priority task" of high-quality development, grasp key issues and key links, strengthen our confidence, dare to do good, and make every effort to promote various reforms in the field of housing and urban-rural development. We must persist in thinking clearly and working hard, stand firm in the people's position, adhere to the original aspiration of reform, find the focus and breakthrough points of reform from the urgent, difficult and anxious problems of the people, strengthen investigation and research, find the right problems and aim at the goals, and accelerate the introduction of a number of practical and effective reform measures.

The meeting required that implementation should be carried out without fail, and implementation of the deployment requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council with stronger responsibility and more active actions. We must continue to promote urban renewal, adhere to problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, carry out urban physical examinations, identify the urgent problems of the people and their shortcomings and weaknesses in urban development, and work hard to implement a number of renewal projects that benefit people's livelihood, prevent risks, and promote development. We must resolutely stabilize the real estate market, continue to consolidate the "combination punch" of the real estate policy "four cancellations, four reductions, and two increase", continue to fight the tough battle of "securing houses for delivery", step up the implementation of urban villages and dilapidated house renovation, promote the acquisition of existing commercial housing, accelerate the construction of a new model of real estate development, and continue to make efforts from both supply and demand, and promote the real estate market to stop falling and stabilize. We must adapt to changes in the supply and demand relationship of the real estate market, adapt to the people's high-quality living needs, establish standards, strengthen science and technology, focus on projects, promote the construction of safe, comfortable, green and smart "good houses", and continuously enhance the people's sense of gain and happiness.
