There are many highlights in China-Swiss tourism and cultural exchanges. In March 2024, China piloted a unilateral visa-free policy to Switzerland. At the end of last year, the visa-free entry period was extended. 2025 is the "China-Swissland Culture and Tourism Year". Ambassador Bai Ruiyi said that Switzerland hopes to welcome more Chinese tourists to visit Switzerland and experience "green tourism" through efficient visa services and sustainable tourism plans.

Swiss Ambassador to China Bai Ruiyi introduced that Switzerland is a hospitality country, and Swiss tourism institutions spend a lot of energy to receive tourists from all walks of life, including Chinese tourists in a sustainable way. Switzerland has a complete set of green tourism programs to help tourists travel and experience green Switzerland in a sustainable way.

This year's Government Work Report proposes to expand high-level opening up to the outside world and vigorously encourage foreign investment. In recent years, the Chinese government has been continuously expanding the scope of industries that encourage foreign investment, lowering entry thresholds, and continuously optimizing the business environment. Ambassador Bai Ruiyi said that these new changes allow more Swiss advantageous industry companies to enter China's service market.

Bai Ruiyi said that Swiss consumer goods companies have a strong sense of existence in China, and many companies have entered the Chinese service industry market. Swiss banks provide financial services in China, but the most significant trend for Swiss companies to invest and do business in China is entering the pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Ambassador Bai Ruiyi introduced that in the view of Swiss companies, China's market is huge, its prospects are improving in the long term, and its local talent reserves are rich. After Swiss companies introduce advanced technology into China, relying on "China's speed", they can quickly and efficiently achieve localized production and sales. Bai Ruiyi said: "Swiss companies are happy to learn about these, because we believe that China is a key market for the future."
