It was stated at the meeting that in 2024, the number of high-value invention patents owned by Shanghai per 10,000 population reached 57.9, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%; the number of PCT international patent applications was 6,822, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%; the number of valid registered trademarks reached 2.7893 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.7%; the number of copyright registrations for works exceeded 450,000, a year-on-year increase of 9.05%.
In the "Technology Cluster" of the "2024 Global Innovation Index Report" released by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the "Shanghai-Suzhou" cluster ranks fifth among the global science and technology clusters.
