CCTV News: In early spring, field management work in many places in Hebei Province is gradually being carried out from south to north. In response to the management of winter wheat, various places have sent agricultural technicians to implement classified policies to guide farmers to do a good job in spring irrigation, fertilization, pest control and other work.
In the wheat planting field in Antuo Village, Wuyi County, Hengshui City, local agricultural technicians came to the fields to check the growth of wheat seedlings and guided farmers to do spring irrigation according to the weather conditions.
In Xingtai City, the agricultural department has successively organized more than 3,500 agricultural technicians to implement policies in various aspects such as land leveling, pest control and other aspects, and guide farmers to do a good job in field management.
The reporter learned from the Hebei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs that at present, the overall seedlings of more than 33 million mu of winter wheat in Hebei Province are growing well, and the proportion of first- and second-class strong seedlings has reached more than 90%. Regarding the current winter wheat spring pipe, experts suggest that the growing wheat fields should be suppressed and maintained according to meteorological changes to prevent excessive water loss and later lodging of wheat seedlings.
