At a press conference held on the 24th, a relevant official from the Ministry of Ecology and Environment introduced that mobile sources have become an important source of atmospheric pollutant emissions, and the supervision of motor vehicle emissions will be further strengthened in the future.

According to reports, since the 14th Five-Year Plan, my country's air pollution prevention and control situation has undergone profound changes. Judging from the total emissions of atmospheric pollutants in the country, nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds account for about 60% and 24% of the national total respectively. The emissions of mobile sources such as motor vehicles, non-road mobile machinery, ships, railway diesel locomotives have exceeded 9 million tons. In densely populated cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, etc., mobile sources have become the primary source of pollutant emissions.

Director of the Atmospheric Environment Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment: We have always insisted on the battle to control diesel truck pollution as the focus of continuous improvement of air quality. Eliminating old and new vehicles to promote emission reduction, combining the combination of unblocking and blocking, nearly 50 million high-emission vehicles have been eliminated in advance, accounting for more than 40% of the sales of new energy vehicles, ranking first in the world for the tenth consecutive year, and the proportion of car ownership in the National V and above has reached 53%.

In terms of clean transportation, a total of 530 dedicated railway lines have been built and opened, and the clean transportation of bulk goods in thermal power, steel, coal, coking, aluminum industry and other industries have fully completed the annual task goals. Shore power is widely used in key areas, key routes and key ships, and non-road machinery and on-site vehicles are the world's first in the world. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, under the situation where the national motor vehicle ownership has increased by 17% and the construction machinery ownership has increased by 14%, the emissions of nitrogen oxides from mobile sources have decreased by 15%.

Li Tianwei, Director of the Atmospheric Environment Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, introduced that in the future, the formulation and revision of mobile source standards will be accelerated. Benchmarking against advanced European and American regulations, we will formulate national seven standards for light and heavy vehicles, formulate national five standards for non-road mobile machinery, and achieve the integration of emission control technology with the world's advanced level. Promote the "retreat the fourth, control the fifth, manage the sixth, and promote new", namely, the accelerated elimination of trucks in National IV and below, the rectification of trucks in National VI, the intelligent supervision of trucks in National VI, and the replacement and application of heavy trucks in new energy. Continue to promote special rectification of third-party institutions in the field of motor vehicle emission inspection and resolutely curb fraud.
