The State Post Bureau predicts that the national postal express delivery industry will receive more than 30 billion express parcels during the Spring Festival travel rush this year, setting a new high.

Fang Xi, deputy director of the Postal Industry Security Center of the State Post Bureau, introduced that the New Year's Day, "national subsidy" and "old for new" and other policy activities superimposed, the industry continues to operate at a high level, with the average daily express delivery volume across the country exceeding 600 million pieces. The delivery demand for cold chain fresh products such as beef, mutton, seafood, and fruit is growing rapidly.

During the Spring Festival travel rush, nearly one million sets of intelligent sorting systems and township express outlets with a coverage rate of 98% delivered packages to farther places faster.

In Hotan, Xinjiang, seafood was delivered to the door of the hot pot restaurant, and the fresh dishes attracted many consumers who came to visit.

While express consumption scenarios are diversified, timeliness is also improving. The Beijing Bureau of the National Railway has launched express freight trains from Shanghai, Guangzhou to Beijing, which can achieve "same-day delivery" and "next-day delivery".

Data shows that during the Spring Festival travel rush, driven by the demand for New Year's goods and key materials during the Spring Festival, the national railway freight volume reached 423 million tons in January. By category, containers and metal ores increased by 10.9% and 17.5% year-on-year respectively. Among them, the transportation of spring farming materials has increased significantly.
