CCTV News: Data from the 2025 comprehensive transportation Spring Festival travel work team shows that it is expected that in 40 days of the Spring Festival travel rush (from January 14 to February 22, 2025), the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society will be 9.025 billion, of which 513.627 million railway passenger volume will be 839.027 million highway passenger volume (7169.49 million people traveling on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways, 122.078 million highway business passenger volume), 31.154 million water passenger volume, and 90.1897 million civil aviation passenger volume.
It is estimated that on February 22, 2025 (the 40th day of the Spring Festival travel rush, the 25th day of the first lunar month), the cross-regional personnel flow of the whole society will be 189.48 million, of which 14.3 million railway passenger volume, 172.42 million highway personnel flow (138.42 million non-commerce passenger buses on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways, 34 million highway commercial passenger volume), 660,000 water passenger volume, and 2.1 million civil aviation passenger volume.
On February 21, 2025 (the 39th day of the Spring Festival travel rush, the 24th day of the first lunar month, Friday), the cross-regional personnel flow in the whole society was 188.814 million, an increase of 10.6% month-on-month and 7.3% over the same period in 2024. The number of railway passengers was 11.85 million, an increase of 15.3% month-on-month and 19.7% over the same period in 2024.
The traffic flow of highway personnel (including the travel of non-commercial passenger buses on highways and ordinary national and provincial highways and commercial passenger traffic on highways) was 174.16 million, an increase of 10.4% month-on-month and 6.4% over the same period in 2024. Among them, the number of business passengers on highways was 33.31 million, a month-on-month increase of 7%, an increase of 3% over the same period in 2024; the number of non-commerce passenger buses on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways was 140.85 million, a month-on-month increase of 11.2%, an increase of 7.3% over the same period in 2024.
The water passenger volume was 580,000, an increase of 2.3% month-on-month and a decrease of 4.7% from the same period in 2024.
The civil aviation passenger volume was 2.2237 million, an increase of 4.89% month-on-month and 27.35% over the same period in 2024.
