The nuclear stack type with the largest number of in-flight operations in the world

As a major national science and technology project, "Hualong No. 1" is known as the "national business card". At present, the number of units under construction at home and abroad has reached 33, making it the largest number of units under construction in the world.

Zhejiang Cangnan Sanao Nuclear Power Base is the first "Hualong No. 1" project in the Yangtze River Delta region. On December 31, 2020, the first phase of Sanao Nuclear Power Project officially started. At present, the project has entered the final preparation stage before grid-connected power generation.

Xim Wei, manager of the Instrument Control Department of CGN Cangnan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., said: "At present, the number of people working on the spot has reached 20,000."

Xiong Wei told reporters that the Sanao Nuclear Power Project plans to build 6 "Hualong No. 1" million-kilowatt nuclear power units. After all, it will provide more than 54 billion kWh of clean energy to Zhejiang Province and even the Yangtze River Delta region every year.

At the Zhangzhou Nuclear Power Base of China National Nuclear Corporation, 6 million-kilowatt-class "Hualong No. 1" nuclear power units are planned to be built here, each nuclear power unit generates more than 10 billion kW per year, which can meet the annual production and daily electricity needs of 1 million people in middle-developed countries. Massive power output is only the first value of "Hualong No. 1", and during its construction and operation, multiple values ​​will be produced.

Wei Junming, deputy general manager of China National Nuclear Power Zhangzhou Energy Co., Ltd., said: "According to the current calculations, if all 6 units can be fully paid every year, the annual tax revenue can reach about 3 billion yuan."

In addition, "Hualong No. 1" has many hidden economic values. According to statistics, since the development of "Hualong No. 1", more than 5,400 companies upstream and downstream of the nuclear power industry chain have fully realized the localization of more than 400 key equipment such as nuclear island main equipment.
