The French guy donated more than 600 historical photos. The Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall has received
On the 20th, the Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall received photos of possible records of the atrocities of the Japanese invaders in Shanghai donated by the French guy Marcus.

In front of the Memorial Hall of Sihang Warehouse, Marcus, who came from France, told the story of the old photos.
Marcus Dretez: Fortunately for these photos, we know about the many tragic killings and adultery.
Marcus introduced that these photos were discovered when he packed up his grandfather's garage in 2021. 170 were found in the first batch. In the subsequent sorting, a total of more than 600 related photos were found. Most of the photos contain the handwriting of my grandfather.

Marcus said that the photos were taken by his grandfather Roger Pierre Lawrence in Shanghai in the 1930s. My grandfather Lawrence was the head of the plantation in the French Concession at the time. He used his camera to record the atrocities of the Japanese bombing of Shanghai and massacre of Chinese people.
Marcus Dreits: I wanted to see my grandfather's photos at that time, and found a suitcase in my garage at home, opened it and saw these photos.

After learning about the background of these photos, Marcus decided to send the photos to China. With the support and company of friends, Marcus came to China.
