On February 19, the 47th escort formation of the Chinese Navy organized a number of trainings in the Gulf of Aden, such as anti-terrorism and anti-piracy, air defense, combat injury rescue, and ship damage and pipe damage, to test the formation's organizational command and emergency response capabilities.

△The formation special forces members carried out live-fire shooting.
This batch of escort formations consist of the missile destroyer Baotou, the missile frigate Honghe and the comprehensive supply ship Gaoyouhu ship. According to the formation commander, since its departure to the Gulf of Aden in December last year, the formation has performed normalized escort tasks while using the distant oceans as a broad training stage, making full use of the complex sea area environment to organize practical training, and constantly tempering the ability of officers and soldiers to perform diversified tasks.
