CCTV News: The reporter learned from the State Post Bureau on January 8 that in 2024, the annual postal industry's delivery business volume and industry business revenue reached 193 billion pieces and 1.7 trillion yuan respectively, and the express delivery business volume has ranked first in the world for 11 consecutive years. The State Post Bureau expects that the postal industry will continue to maintain a steady upward trend in 2025.

Data from the State Post Bureau shows that in 2024, the postal industry's delivery business volume and industry business revenue reached 193 billion pieces and 1.7 trillion yuan, respectively, an increase of 19% and 11% year-on-year respectively. Among them, the express delivery business volume and business revenue reached 174.5 billion pieces and 1.4 trillion yuan, respectively, an increase of 21% and 13% year-on-year respectively.

Since 2024, the construction of a global international postal express hub cluster with the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Chengdu-Chongqing and central regions urban agglomerations as the core has been steadily advancing. At present, there are 1,300 large-scale mail and express processing centers in my country, and the maximum daily processing volume of express delivery has reached 729 million pieces. A total of 92 cold chain transfer centers and 405 cold chain warehouses have been built.

In Zhejiang, Jiaxing Global Aviation Logistics Hub Project is accelerating the construction of the project. The project has nearly 100 planned airports. The planned construction projects include bonded logistics centers, warehousing, multimodal transport zones, comprehensive business centers, etc. In 2025, the multimodal transport center and some warehousing facilities in the project will be completed and put into use. At that time, the maximum processing volume of express delivery will be increased by more than three times compared with the original Jiaxing Consolidation Transport Center, and it can also gradually cover the needs of other regions in the Yangtze River Delta in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Huzhou and other places.

In Xining, Qinghai, the newly put into production of 120 acres of Xining, Qinghai, has basically been completed. It is expected that after it is put into use in 2025, the daily capacity for express parcel processing is increased from 100,000 pieces to 400,000 pieces.

Hou Yanbo, spokesperson of the State Post Bureau, introduced that we actively integrate into the modern comprehensive transportation system, accelerate the construction of the industry's modern infrastructure system, especially further improve the basic postal network in the central and western regions. The express delivery business volume in the central and western regions increased by 30% and 35% year-on-year, effectively narrowing the gap in consumer service experience for urban and rural residents. Better help reduce logistics costs in the whole society, improve comprehensive transportation efficiency, and smooth the circulation of the national economy.

The State Post Bureau predicts that the postal industry will continue to maintain a steady upward trend in 2025, with express delivery business volume and business revenue reaching 190 billion pieces and 1.5 trillion yuan respectively, with a growth rate of about 8%.
