At present, a total of 8,155 villages in my country have been included in the China Traditional Village Protection List and listed protection have been implemented, and 16 provinces have included 5,028 villages in the provincial traditional village protection list. While increasing protection efforts, localities continue to promote the revitalization and utilization of traditional villages and vigorously develop industries such as leisure tourism, cultural and creative industries.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development stated that the next step will continue to carry out pilot demonstrations of traditional village characteristic protection areas, and guide all localities to focus on filling the gaps in village infrastructure and improving the production and living conditions of villagers.
