"The electronic certificate of fishing boats is equivalent to the 'electronic driver's license' of fishermen." A relevant person in charge of the Fishing Boat Management Office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs told reporters that in the past, fishermen needed to carry paper parts of the fishing boat certificate at any time when doing business or operating on a boat. Now, as long as the electronic certificate is presented through mobile phones, staff can scan the code to check, which will effectively improve management capabilities and service efficiency.
The person in charge introduced that the scope of the electronic certificate of fishing boats includes the current four types of fishing boat certificates, including the fishing boat net tool index approval letter, the fishing boat ownership registration certificate, the fishing boat nationality certificate and the fishing fishing license. All enterprises, individuals and their clients holding the above four certificates can apply for and use the electronic certificates in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

It is understood that at this stage, the electronic certificates of fishing boats mainly provide certificate presentation and business inquiry functions. When accepting fishing law enforcement inspections and handling fishing fishing administration related businesses, electronic certificates can be presented instead of paper certificates. Law enforcement personnel and business handling personnel can verify by scanning the code. Relevant personnel can also check the fishing boat information and business processing progress through the electronic certificate status.
