CCTV News: After the earthquake, the Tibet Military Region immediately launched an emergency plan and sent rescue officers and soldiers to severely affected areas such as Changsuo Township, Cuoguo Township, Qudang Village, Dingri County, and made every effort to rescue the wounded and search and rescue the trapped people.
After the disaster, officers and soldiers from the Shigatse Military Sub-district in Tibet, carried rescue tools and rushed to the villages that were most affected.

In Changsu Township, Dingri County, at an altitude of more than 4,300 meters, rescue officers and soldiers carried out rescue operations in multiple ways. Some officers and soldiers worked with local governments to carry out search and rescue and transport of wounded personnel; the other officers and soldiers set up temporary tents, set up medical and health points, and open hot food supply points in relatively safe areas.
At 8 pm, mineral water, quilts, media, stoves and other basic daily necessities transported to the disaster area were delivered one after another, and the rescue personnel on the scene quickly entered the intense transportation and distribution work.

As night fell, at the Gurong Village site, rescue officers and soldiers helped the local people rescue livestock and valuables as soon as possible, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
At the same time, after more than ten hours of starry night, the first echelon of the rescue medical team of the Tibet Military Region General Hospital arrived at Dingri County People's Hospital at around 23:00 on the 7th. Subsequently, the medical staff immediately participated in the reception and rescue of the injured and sick.
Military vehicles raced against time to transport the injured people
On the evening of January 7, at the temporary resettlement site in Gurong Village, Changsuo Township, Dingri County, a affected person suddenly suffered from back pain. The military doctor in charge of the resettlement site went to the disaster tent to check his condition and was promptly sent to Dingri County People's Hospital for examination.

Due to the shortage of resources of ambulance vehicles, the needs of patients cannot be met in a short period of time. After learning about this situation, a unit of the Tibet Military Region immediately vacated the vehicle and sent the patient to the hospital as soon as possible.
After nearly 40 minutes' drive, the patient was finally sent to the hospital in the shortest time, ensuring that the patient received more effective treatment as soon as possible.

It is understood that in order to cope with the current shortage of ambulance resources in the earthquake zone, the Tibet Military Region has included military vehicles in the ranks of support to ensure that people in need can use them at any time, and at critical moments to solve the urgent needs of the masses and the needs of the people.
