After the earthquake, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a dispatch meeting as soon as possible, urgently allocated emergency communication personnel materials and equipment, and sent a working group to the affected areas to organize and coordinate emergency communication support work. The Tibet Communications Administration launched a secondary emergency communication response, and all basic telecommunications companies overcome the impact of the plateau and high-altitude environment, acted quickly, and made every effort to carry out emergency communication support and emergency repairs for communication facilities.
As of 17:00 on January 7, the information and communications industry has dispatched 154 emergency personnel, 57 emergency vehicles, 60 oil engines, and 41 satellite phones. 96 base stations that have been withdrawn from service due to earthquakes have recovered 22. Communication services in the affected areas are basically normal, and there are no full resistance to township-level communications.
