CCTV News: When the cold wave comes, the cooling rate in southern North China, the Huanghuai and other places has reached 6-8 degrees Celsius, and some areas have hit a new low in temperature since this winter. In order to prevent the adverse effects of cold waves on agricultural production, local governments have taken many measures to ensure sufficient supply of "vegetable baskets".

Yongnian, Hebei is the largest facility leafy vegetable production base in the north, with an annual facility vegetable sowing area of ​​more than 255,000 acres. At present, the field area is 60,000 mu, with a daily market volume of more than 2,000 tons, and more than 100 vegetable varieties such as oil wheat, lettuce, celery, and Chinese cabbage.

The annual vegetable output of Lanling County, Linyi City, Shandong Province exceeds 5 million tons, of which 60% are directly supplied to the Yangtze River Delta region. In order to cope with the challenges brought by this cold wave, the local business department has actively connected with the wholesale market in the Yangtze River Delta to increase the frequency of vegetable vehicles transportation. At present, more than 390 trucks loaded with vegetables set off from Lanling every day, and the total number of vegetables transported out of the country reaches more than 7,800 tons per day.

While the supply of vegetables is sufficient, fishery aquaculture is also actively ensuring the guarantee. In Jimo, Qingdao, Shandong, aquaculture varieties such as sea cucumbers and seahors are in a critical period of seedling growth. The local power supply department has set up a "warm-keeping" service team to conduct a comprehensive physical examination of the circuit system of coastal aquaculture greenhouses to ensure the stability of power consumption of farmers.
