The reporter learned from the Traffic Police Detachment of Shigatse Public Security Bureau on the 7th that in order to ensure the smooth progress of earthquake relief work in Dingri County with a magnitude 6.8 earthquake and disaster relief work and to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, it is now decided to implement temporary traffic control on some sections of Shigatse G318 and G219. Except for emergency rescue vehicles, vehicles transporting earthquake relief materials and command vehicles that perform earthquake relief tasks, other motor vehicles are prohibited from entering the controlled area.
The specific controlled sections are:
G318 Sangzhuzi section K4872 (Santao Junction of Qumei Township) to Dingri County;
G219 Dingjie section K4737 to Dingri County;
G318 Nielam section K5218 to Dingri County.
The control time will be from the 7th to the end of the earthquake relief emergency work. The specific lifting time will be announced separately.
The relevant person in charge of the Traffic Police Detachment of Shigatse Municipal Public Security Bureau said that passenger vehicles in the controlled area will adjust their operating routes or suspend their operations according to actual conditions. Citizens are requested to plan their travel routes in advance.
