According to the Ministry of Commerce's business big data monitoring, the sales of key retail and catering companies nationwide increased by 4.1% over the same period last year, and the consumer market generally achieved a stable start.
During the festival, food, New Year goods, green smart home appliances, mobile phones, tablets and other products are sold hotly. Focus on monitoring sales of home appliances and communication equipment in retail enterprises increased by more than 10% year-on-year.
During the festival, the consumption demand for services such as dinner parties, travel, movies, and TV shows is released in a concentrated manner. The turnover of key monitored catering enterprises increased by 6.2% year-on-year. Ice and snow tours, cultural and museum tours, etc. are still popular. The total domestic travel expenses are 677 billion yuan during the Spring Festival holiday, an increase of 7.0% year-on-year; 500 million domestic travelers, an increase of 5.9% year-on-year. The box office of the Spring Festival movie reached 9.51 billion yuan, a record high.
