CCTV News (News Network): The 2025 9th Asian Winter Games will open in Harbin, Heilongjiang on February 7. On February 6, the Asia Olympic Council and the Harbin Asian Winter Conference Organizing Committee held a media briefing to introduce the preparations for this Asian Winter Conference.
According to the press conference, the opening ceremony and the running of the event are currently in place. During the event, the EMUs from Harbin to Yabuli Railway will increase to 40 trains per day to meet the large-scale personnel flow in the two competition areas during the competition. In addition, various event services such as medical insurance and meteorological monitoring will also provide all-round protection for participants.
This Asian Winter Games is divided into two competition areas: Harbin Ice Evening and Yabuli Snow Evening. The schedule is 12 days. Starting from February 3, the longer schedule of ice hockey and curling competitions have begun, and the first gold medal will be produced on the morning of February 8.
