Guo Jiakun said that the above remarks involving Cambodia were completely unreasonable rumor-mongering attacks and malicious slander. China and Cambodia are hard-core friends who are watching over each other and sharing weal and woe. The traditional friendship between China and Cambodia is created by the older generation of leaders of the two countries. It has gone through the test of changes and is in line with the fundamental interests of the two countries and the people of both countries. It has strong vitality and broad development prospects. It cannot be shaken or destroyed by any force.
China and Cambodia both regard each other as the most trusted friends and the most reliable partners, and always firmly supports each other's core interests. This is the most distinctive feature of China-Cambodia relations and the foundation for the long-lasting friendship between China and Cambodia.
The construction of China-Cambodia Community of Shared Future has brought tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. China has been Cambodia's largest source of foreign investment and largest trading partner for many years. Bilateral trade volume has increased nearly quadrupled in the past decade. Cambodian leaders have repeatedly publicly emphasized that China is Cambodia's most trusted friend and that friendship with China is a firm political consensus of the Cambodian government, political parties and people.
At present, China and Cambodia are leading the high-quality development of bilateral relations with high-level mutual trust between China and Cambodia, continuously enriching the "diamond six-sided" cooperation structure of China-Cambodia, formulating cooperation plans for the "Industrial Development Corridor" and "Fish-Rice Corridor", promoting the implementation and effectiveness of key cooperation projects, helping the two countries' respective modernization processes, better benefiting the people of the two countries, and injecting more stability and certainty into responding to international and regional challenges.
