The Ministry of Commerce Business Big Data Monitoring, during the Spring Festival, the sales of key retail and catering enterprises nationwide increased by 4.1% year-on-year, and online retail sales increased by 5.8% year-on-year. The policy of "old-for-new" for consumer goods continues to be effective, and a "new trend" has been set off across the country, focusing on monitoring sales of retail enterprises' home appliances and communication equipment increased by more than 10% year-on-year.

The National Online New Year's Economy Festival's new Chinese jewelry and intangible cultural heritage products increased by 45.9% and 28.3% year-on-year, leading the new trend of New Year's Economy consumption. The State Film Administration and the Ministry of Commerce organized a series of activities to "Feel Food with Movies" to drive the new consumption methods of "movies + catering" to make the New Year popular.

According to data from the People's Bank of China, during the Spring Festival holiday, UnionPay and Network Communications processed a total of 25.416 billion payment transactions with a total amount of 9.78 trillion yuan, an increase of 24.50% and 15.00% respectively over last year's Spring Festival holiday.
