Data from the People's Bank of China shows that in the seven days before the 2025 Spring Festival holiday (January 28-February 3), UnionPay and Network Union processed a total of 22.078 billion payment transactions with a total amount of 8.52 trillion yuan, an increase of 25.70% and 17.08% respectively compared with the seven days before the Spring Festival holiday last year (February 10-16, 2024). Among them, UnionPay and Network Network processed transactions and amounts of payment transactions and transactions for overseas personnel coming to China increased by 127.30% and 93.54% respectively.
