CCTV News: In the Emei Mountain Scenic Area in Sichuan, in addition to tourists from all over the world, there are also armed police officers and soldiers who escort tourists' travel. Their year is to stick to the sea of clouds at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters.
Sichuan Emei Mountain has been known as "Emei World Show" since ancient times, and it attracts many Chinese and foreign tourists to visit and pray for blessings every year. During this Spring Festival, the number of tourists received by Emei Mountain Scenic Area reached more than 500,000. Affected by the snowfall, the road from Leidongping Station, which is more than 2,400 meters above sea level has been covered with snow.

Ye Jianjiang, Leshan Detachment of the Sichuan Corps of the Armed Police, said: "This road is the only way for us to climb the mountain. Look at the snow under our feet. If it is stepped on, it will form thick ice. It is very hard and slippery when walking up. So the first thing we do after every time we work hard is to shovel snow and remove ice to ensure that tourists can pass smoothly."
From before the Spring Festival to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, officers and soldiers will be on duty at various transportation hubs and areas where tourists gather. The Jinding Cableway is an important hub of the Emei Mountain transportation chain. During peak hours, tourists can line up long queues of hundreds or even thousands of meters.

Climbing up 500 meters in the cable car is the Jinding Scenic Area at an altitude of 3079 meters. It is high in altitude and thin in oxygen, and many elderly and children are prone to altitude sickness. During the patrol, the officers and soldiers found a little girl with chest tightness and difficulty breathing. They immediately provided her with oxygen and plateau medicines and escorted her to the bottom of the mountain.

From 6:30 in the morning to 7:30 in the evening, working outdoors for a long time, many officers and soldiers' cheeks, ears and hands were red, but the sincere thanks from tourists dispelled the cold winter and warmed the hearts of the soldiers.
Guo Kexin from the Leshan Detachment of the Sichuan Corps of the Armed Police said: "Although we can't go home to spend the New Year with our parents during the Spring Festival, we stick to our posts and protect the safe travel of tourists. I think this is a very happy thing."

During the Spring Festival, the figures of armed police officers and soldiers shuttled through every corner of the scenic area, and passers-by also spontaneously wrote New Year greetings for them as New Year gifts to all officers and soldiers on duty. The blessings of tourists are the best affirmation of the hard work of the officers and soldiers.
Field training to improve firefighters' ice and snow rescue capabilities
During the Spring Festival, fire rescue teams in many places in the north further improved the ice and snow rescue capabilities of firefighters' ice and snow rescue capabilities in response to the continuous heating of winter ice and snow sports and the increase in ice and snow rescue.
In Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia, where the temperature is close to -30℃, firefighters are conducting ice rescue drills and training. The drill mainly simulates dangerous situations such as falling into ice caves, and people trapped on ice shattering. Repeatedly practice common rescue subjects such as ice self-rescue, stretcher rescue, and rope throwing rescue. At the same time, the firefighters' prediction training on the thickness, fracture situation, and under-ice water flow are strengthened, so that firefighters can accurately grasp the on-site situation in actual rescue and rescue trapped people in a timely manner.

In recent days, firefighters in Urumqi, Xinjiang have carried out rescue training on different terrain such as outdoor snow and ski resorts. It mainly focuses on difficult links such as slow arrival at the scene, difficult targeting of trapped people, and difficult transfer of trapped people. Firefighters use snow motorcycles, snowboard teams, drone infrared detection and other equipment to quickly approach the target and carry out rescue in a timely manner.

Adirijiang Abdula, instructor of Guanling South Road Fire Rescue Station in Urumqi City, said: "During holidays, privately going to unmanned areas to climb mountain adventures and skiing, causing traps to occur frequently. By analyzing and judging the rescue data of previous years, we have placed fire rescue forces in advance to areas with high risk and frequent occurrence, strengthen mountain rescue and snow rescue drills to ensure that the police are dispatched as soon as possible and deal with them effectively."
