CCTV News: According to the Healthy China WeChat official account, at 9:5 on January 7, 2025, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Dingri County, Tibet Autonomous Region. The National Health Commission immediately made arrangements to quickly understand the disaster situation and casualties. At present, professional experts such as the critical care medicine, orthopedics and emergency department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital and the National Emergency Medical Rescue Team of West China Hospital of Sichuan University have been urgently dispatched to the earthquake-stricken areas, and asked the national emergency medical rescue teams of surrounding provinces to make rescue preparations and provide support at any time as needed.

After the earthquake, the local health department immediately launched an emergency response and cooperated with relevant departments to carry out wounded searches and other work. The People's Hospital of the Tibet Autonomous Region has dispatched 8 medical rescue vehicles and 26 medical personnel to the local area. Relevant hospitals in the disaster area have opened green channels for the treatment of wounded people, and there are sufficient beds for treatment. Rescue and medical treatment of wounded people, as well as public health work are underway in an orderly manner.
