According to data from the National Film Administration, the box office of the first day of the Spring Festival in 2025 (January 29) was 1.805 billion yuan, with the number of viewers of 35.1512 million, a significant increase from the same period last year, setting a new single-day box office and number of viewers. According to data from the online platform, as of 17:16 on February 2, the total box office (including pre-sales) of the 2025 Spring Festival (January 28 to February 4) exceeded 7 billion yuan, setting a new high.

[Very popular in the cultural and tourism market]

Beijing Temple Fair, Chaoshan Yingsong and Dance, Guangdong Lion Dance, Minnan Travel God... This year's Spring Festival cultural and tourism market is very popular, and "intangible cultural heritage" related attractions and products have become hot searches on multiple platforms. Tongcheng Travel data shows that the passenger flow of domestic scenic spots increased by more than three times month-on-month, four days before the Spring Festival holiday. Driven by the 240-hour transit visa-free policy and the continuous expansion of the "visa-free circle of friends", inbound tourism has also become a highlight of the Spring Festival market. Ctrip data shows that inbound travel orders during the Spring Festival increased by 203% year-on-year. "China Travel" has set off a craze on social media platforms around the world.

[Career consumption is steaming hot]

Career consumption also ushered in a peak. According to the Ministry of Commerce's business big data monitoring, four days before the Spring Festival holiday (January 28 to 31), the sales of key retail and catering enterprises nationwide increased by 5.4% compared with the same period last year; the turnover of key monitored catering enterprises increased by 5.1% year-on-year. Meituan data shows that the search volume related to "New Year's Eve dinner reservation" and "New Year's Eve dinner restaurant recommendation" increased by 256% month-on-month, and the online booking volume of New Year's Eve dinner increased by 305% year-on-year. Since January, the number of orders for the "intangible cultural heritage" theme group buying packages on the platform has increased by more than 12 times year-on-year, and the number of New Year's Eve dinner bookings on Black Pearl Restaurant, featuring Chinese food culture experience, has increased by more than 120% year-on-year.

[Stimulate vitality with old trade-in]

As the policy of increasing the expansion of consumer goods with old trade-in, more ordinary people choose to "change new" to celebrate the New Year. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce, from 0:00 on the beginning of the year to 0:00 on January 31, a total of 57,000 applications for car trade-in and scrapping and renewal subsidies were received in the country in 2025; consumers purchased 1.793 million units of 12 major household appliances trade-in products, and applied for 17.145 million new subsidies for mobile phones, tablets, and smart watches (bracelets). Four days before the holiday, sales of home appliances and communication equipment in focus monitored retail enterprises increased by more than 10% year-on-year.
