CCTV News: A Kunmujia outpost in a certain unit of the Tibet Military Region is located in the southwestern border of the motherland and is known as the "first outpost in the southwest". The altitude here is 4,900 meters, and the annual average temperature is less than 5℃. Because the air oxygen content is less than half of that in the mainland, it is also known as the "forbidden zone for life". During the Spring Festival, the officers and soldiers spent their special festivals at the sentry.

This year during the Chinese New Year, Kunmujia Post welcomed two new comrades. They stayed away from their hometown to celebrate the New Year at the post for the first time. In the early morning, the first ray of sunlight shone through the post of Kunmujia Post on the officers and soldiers. They were going to the No. 25 Pile above the top of the mountain above more than 5,300 meters above sea level to carry out a routine patrol mission. After more than two hours of travel, the patrol car could only drive to the foot of the mountain. Next, the officers and soldiers needed to climb up on foot. One of the steep mountain roads was nearly 70 degrees, which was extremely difficult to walk. In the winter of minus ten degrees Celsius, the officers and soldiers carried nearly 20 kilograms of weapons and equipment to climb over one mountain after another. The difficulty and pressure can be imagined.

Wang Sicheng, a Kunmujia Post Office, said that the higher you go, the lower the temperature, the stronger the wind, and it may be more difficult to move.

Half an hour later, the patrol team came to the temporary rest point to take a break.

Zhang Sen, a Kunmujia Post at a certain unit of the Tibet Military Region, said: "I have walked through many points since I joined the army. Although some points have a hard patrol journey every time, when you arrive at the Binding Pile and the moment you swore in front of the Binding Pile, you feel that you are a Chinese and are very proud."

Liu Xinjun, a Kunmujia Post at a certain unit of the Tibet Military Region: "I feel very handsome when I am here to join the army for the first time. Now that I really wear this military uniform, I feel that the responsibility on my shoulders is heavy."

At 4:30 pm, the patrol team finally arrived at the No. 25 Border Pole on the top of the mountain. The Border Pole stands on the top of the mountain and is a silent watcher on the border line.

"We wish the great motherland prosperity at the No. 25 Corridor No. 25, at an altitude of 5,300 meters, and wish the people of the whole country a happy New Year! I have my battle position, please rest assured by the motherland and the people!"

When night falls, the lights at Kunmujia Post are particularly bright in the cold night. This Spring Festival is destined to become their own unique mark for new comrades. The veterans have also recorded inspirational videos specifically for new comrades, and every moment carries the unique feelings of the officers and soldiers at the outpost.

Liao Rui, a Kunmujia Post, a certain unit of the Tibet Military Region: "Although our post is harsh, generations of revolutionary predecessors have taken root here and built it into a warm and caring family. I will continue to protect this home with my brothers. I believe that the new comrades will integrate into this family faster."

Although the patrol mission during the Spring Festival has ended, their watch is still continuing. Regardless of wind, frost, rain and snow, the officers and soldiers of Kunmujia Post are like beacons on the border, always illuminating the borders of the motherland.
