"We have established a white list of environmentally friendly materials that have been tested to ensure that all the materials used during the renovation of the venue are environmentally friendly building materials." Liu Qinghui, head of the environmental protection team of the Athlete Service Department of the Asia Winter Conference Executive Committee, said that during the renovation process, rivet structures or splicing structures were used as much as possible, and adhesives were not used to reduce their impact on environmental quality and ensure the air quality of the venue.

Liu Qinghui introduced that the venue's lighting, power supply, ice making and air conditioning units have undergone technical transformations of environmental protection and energy-saving around low-carbon operation. "The original ice making system used ethylene glycol, but now it has been changed to R134a refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly and efficient."

It is understood that this Asian Winter Games will realize the first time that the renovation and construction of competition venues and supporting facilities, the testing competition and the supply of 100% green electricity during the competition. Changing the traditional power supply methods such as coal and gas in the past, we will fully use green and clean energy. Wind and solar energy and other energy will be continuously transported to various venues during the competition to ensure electricity demand.

According to statistics, before the competition, State Grid Heilongjiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. implemented 170 power grid reinforcement projects for the Asian Winter Games, formed a special working team for each competition venue, checked line hazards, optimized the distribution process, and strived for efficient and energy-saving. Since the first batch of green electricity transactions at the 9th Asian Winter Games, green electricity transactions have been traded 11 times, with a cumulative transaction volume of 56.76 million kilowatt-hours.
