On February 2, the "Folk Exhibition and Celebration of New Year in the Museum" series of activities jointly organized by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum and the Chinese Communist Party History Exhibition Hall jointly held a series of activities such as "Folk Exhibitions and New Year in the Museum" kicked off in the square of the Chinese Communist Party History Exhibition Hall. The event brought together nine representative intangible cultural heritage projects from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and Guangdong, and presented many exciting intangible cultural heritage folk exhibitions to the audience.
"I saw news about the event online these two days. My wife and I quickly made an appointment. We arrived early this morning." Mr. Zhang, a citizen, smiled and told reporters that because he is from the north, he is familiar with the folk performances in the north. "I heard that there is a Puning Yingge performance in Guangdong, and we have never watched it on site. I really want to see it this time."
The event began at 10:30 am that day. Accompanied by the intense drum beats, 15 flying cymbal performers from Hangu, Tianjin collided with flying copper cymbals to create a crisp sound, igniting the atmosphere on the scene in an instant. They shouted loud slogans, constantly changing various square formations, and their movements were neat and uniform, showing the heroic spirit of the fishermen in Tianjin fishing villages in the sea and expressing their eager yearning for a better life. Cui Baobin, the 62-year-old team leader, told reporters that for this performance, everyone worked together to rehearse, "strive to give back to the audience with the best performance."
Immediately afterwards, three performers of the Yanqing dry boat in Beijing, Li Shuqin, Meng Zhaogui and Liu Dongxian, dressed in exquisite opera costumes, transformed into Bai Suzhen, Xu Xian and Xiaoqing, and slowly appeared on the stage on the dry boat. With delicate performances, they vividly reproduced the classic scene of traveling to West Lake in "The Legend of the White Snake". Their steps are light and their postures are agile, as if they have brought the audience into the poetic scroll of the Jiangnan water town. Qiu Zhenfei, the district-level inheritor of Yanqing dry boat, told reporters that a total of 18 performers participated in the program this time. In his opinion, this is a rare opportunity to communicate and learn from colleagues from all over the country. "For example, the team members' expressions were very rich during the Changli Di Yangge performance, and this is exactly what we lack. After this discussion, we will work hard to learn from our strengths and weaknesses and make the program more exciting."
Changli Di Yangge is one of the most representative projects in Hebei folk. The actors ride small donkeys, holding fans, handkerchiefs, carrying sedan chairs, or pretending to be matchmakers to walk through it. The humorous actions and expressions made the scene laugh continuously, creating a rich festive atmosphere.
Thereafter, the Hebei Overpass Zhongban performance and Tianjin stilt performance were performed one after another.
As a special performance form during the New Year of the Old Beijing, the Taiping Drum in the West of Beijing has added a strong festive atmosphere to the event. 21 performers held the Taiping drum and danced with the cheerful drum beats, conveying a festive and peaceful festive atmosphere, and entrusting people's wishes for a good weather and a better life. In the team, 6-year-old Zhang Jingyi followed the adults, jumping steadily. "This is our youngest member." Wang Juan, the 42-year-old fourth-generation inheritor of Taiping Gu in the Strange Village, told reporters that the oldest in the team is 75 years old. "This performance and exchange have fully felt the confidence of folk culture, and we will definitely pass on the Taiping Drum."
The Guangdong Puning Yingge Performance, which just appeared on the CCTV Spring Festival Gala stage this year, also came to the scene. Puning Yingge is majestic and is known as the "Chinese Battle Dance". The performer wore a battle robe and danced clothes, painted his face, waved sticks, and used his heroic dance posture to show the essence of Southern Fist with his heroic dance posture, conveying the beautiful meaning of promoting righteousness and suppressing evil, auspiciousness and peace, and pushing the atmosphere on the scene to the climax. "I have been engaged in this performance for 8 years." 18-year-old Chen Jinlong serves as the leader dance in the team. He plays Li Kui. Although his figure is not as strong as the legendary Li Kui, his dance steps are strong and powerful. "I'm very happy to have the opportunity to come to Beijing to participate in the exhibition," he said.
Hebei Yixian Dragon Lights are finale. Zheng Qingkun, the fifth-generation inheritor of Yixian Dragon Lantern, led the team to dance the "Dragon" and saw the dragon soaring. The dancers cleverly used the thirteen-section dragon body and the dragon hydrangea to pose auspicious congratulations such as "Happy and prosperous times, good luck every year", expressing their best wishes for the prosperity of the country and the happiness and well-being of the people.
"It's so wonderful!" The audience said that the intangible cultural heritage projects in different regions have their own characteristics, which feasts the eyes. They truly feel the charm of traditional New Year customs, and also find the New Year atmosphere deep in their memory in this lively atmosphere.
This series of activities "Folk Exhibitions are booming and New Year's Day in the Museum" not only demonstrates the unique charm of China's excellent traditional culture, but also allows people to feel the profound heritage and cultural connotation of intangible cultural heritage in the strong New Year atmosphere. From the 14th to the 15th day of the first lunar month, the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum will also hold a special performance of the Lantern Festival.
