CCTV News: Huashan, Shaanxi is a holiday tourist destination, but just a few days left in the Spring Festival, Huashan suffered heavy snowfall that lasted for more than 30 hours, and the scenic spot was closed. In order to open as scheduled on New Year's Eve, 200 sanitation workers in the scenic area began to race against time to clear the snow and remove the ice. On February 1, we approached these snow sweepers on the top of Mount Hua.

On January 25, there are less than 3 days left before New Year's Eve. At 9 a.m., when the reporter arrived in Huashan, it had been snowing for 14 hours in a row. The scenic area has been closed and the main roads are covered with snow.

Reporter: Why don't you wait for the snow to stop before continuing to sweep the snow?

Hao Qiang, a sanitation worker in Huashan Scenic Area: No, the snow will be thicker after a long time, and the hair dryer will not be able to blow.

In order to avoid the roads being frozen, the snow needs to be cleared as soon as possible. Dongfeng is the second highest peak of Mount Hua and is also the main attraction for tourists to watch the sunrise. The higher you go, it becomes more and more difficult to remove snow. The steepest slope of the 2.5-kilometer mountain road exceeds 70 degrees and has more than 400 steps. Large snow removal equipment is not available on mountain roads like this, so Hao Qiang and his colleagues used brooms, snow shovels, hair dryers and other gadgets to clean up the snow.

More than two hours later, the snow cleaning in Dongfeng was completed, and Hao Qiang and his colleagues received a new task to reinforce the highest peak of Huashan Mountain, Nanfeng.

At 3 a.m. on January 26, the snow in Huashan finally stopped. According to the forecast, there will be no snow in the next few days. Everyone has stepped up the pace of clearing snow, hoping that the scenic spot will open as scheduled on New Year's Eve.

On this day, Hao Qiang's snow sweeper's main task was to clear the ice and snow of the "Kite Rollover", which is the most difficult section of road in Huashan. Hao Qiang wore crampons and seat belts, and went down to the cliff area and began to sweep snow one by one. We followed him and went down the cliff. The stone stairs chiseled above the cliffs, each floor can only stand on one foot. Hao Qiang grabbed the chain in one hand and the broom in the other, cleaning down step by step.

Huashan Scenic Area sanitation worker Hao Qiang said that many tourists came to the scenic spot "Harder Round Over". If you can't experience this danger, you will return disappointed. It doesn't matter if they work hard, so that tourists come and go happily, so that tourists will not leave any regrets.

After more than two days of work, the snow on the main roads and main scenic spots of Huashan have been removed. On New Year's Eve, more than 4,800 tourists from Huashan came here to appreciate the majestic scene of Huashan after the snow.

On the second day of the first lunar month, when the reporter came to Huashan again, the weather was particularly good, and the snow at the "Kite Rollover" scenic spot was also cleaned and opened again. With the efforts of Hao Qiang's team, Huashan Scenic Area has not only not been affected by the wind and snow, but has also received more than 60,000 tourists from New Year's Eve to the fourth day of the first lunar month.
