CCTV News (News Network): Gadan Village is a village that was severely affected by the magnitude 6.8 earthquake in Dingri County, Tibet. Most of the villagers' houses collapsed in the earthquake. After the earthquake, all Tibetan compatriots here moved into warm prefabricated houses and ate hot meals. On the eve of the Spring Festival, grassroots reporters from the Spring Festival came to Gadan Village and spent a warm Spring Festival with them.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, in the small courtyard of the village committee of Gadan Village, Wu Qixun, the village work team leader and first secretary, and the village cadres, together to distribute to everyone the beef and mutton that had just been received from the township government.

Then, Wu Qixun went door to door to deliver beef, mutton and daily necessities to everyone.

At 4 pm, the 87-year-old grandma drank hot mutton soup.

In 2017, 22-year-old Wu Qixun volunteered to work in Tibet after graduating from university. He worked in Dingri County at high altitude for 8 years. In August last year, she served as the first secretary of Gadan Village.

On January 7, after the Dingri County earthquake, Wu Qixun and two other female cadres stationed in the village raced against time to direct rescue and disaster relief. Before the rescue team arrived, they rescued seven villagers with bare hands.

On the evening of January 7, Wu Qixun organized 62 households in Gadan Village to transfer them to the large sunroom used by the village committee to store barley, where they spent the first night after the earthquake.

One side will support you when you have difficulties. Material resources from all over the country continue to arrive in Shigatse. On January 8, 90 tents were set up in Gadan Village. Next to the well of the village committee of Gadan Village, Wu Qixun led everyone to set up a big pot. The whole village lived in a tent the next day after the earthquake and had a hot meal. On the third day after the earthquake, 138 prefabricated houses were built.

On the eve of the Spring Festival, the cleaning of the ruins in Gadan Village is still in an orderly manner. Architectural designers from Shanghai have begun to design a new home for the villagers. After three connections, the design plan has already taken the most basic prototype.

A red sun is rising, and the lanterns of the New Year are hanging.

After experiencing the hardships of the earthquake, the warmth is still continuing. The children danced happily, and they welcomed the arrival of the New Year in hope.
