According to statistics from the Hengqin Border Inspection Station, three days before the Spring Festival holiday, a total of about 198,000 inbound and outbound passengers and about 18,000 vehicles, an increase of 32% and 50% year-on-year respectively.
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, 25,000 mainland tourists took personal and group travel visas, an increase of 163% from the previous day.
On the second day of the Lunar New Year, there were 8,900 passengers entering and leaving the passenger inspection and release hall of Hengqin Port, setting a new record since its opening.
