On August 19, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference.A reporter asked: The "Regulations of the State Council on Exit and Entry Management" will be implemented on September 15.The Mainland Affairs Council stated that such regulations may affect Taiwanese businessmen, Taiwanese cadres, and practitioners in the technology and semiconductor industries who invest or work in the mainland and should conduct risk assessments.A small number of Taiwanese people have been misled by it and are worried about the risks of entering and leaving the mainland.Any comment on this?
Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said that Taiwanese people do not need to worry about any risks when coming to the mainland. The State Council's regulations on exit and entry management are to standardize exit and entry management, protect the legitimate rights and interests of exit and entry personnel, and safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests. The "Regulations" mainly aim to improve the exit security risk prevention system, clarify that the reasons for exit and entry applications must be true and legal, and standardize exit and entry intermediary services. This regulation is conducive to safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait in exchanges and creating a better legal environment for Taiwan compatriots to come to the mainland.
